The week of March 8-14 is National Patient Safety Awareness week. Created by the National Patient Safety Foundation, this week is designed to raise awareness for issues related to patient safety and doctor-patient communication. As a family dentistry practice that has served the citizens of Jersey City and Hoboken for many years, Frank R. DePaola & Associates is committed to the safety of all its patients.
The theme of Patient Safety Awareness week 2015 is United in Safety. If patients and doctors work together to facilitate communication with each other, every workplace can become a little bit safer for everyone.
Some of the steps Frank R. DePaola & Associates have taken to promote patient safety include:
- Using only those materials and procedures that have passed the most stringent requirements for patient safety
- Encouraging patients to disclose health information to their dentist during general dentistry checkups
- Offering services that improve overall patient health, such as the replacement of fillings that may contain mercury
- Utilizing state-of-the-art dental technology that allows us to conduct procedures in less time with better outcomes and increased patient comfort.
